AN APPEAL

Dear Devotees,
Its that time of the year when our Maha Ganapati arrives to bless us. Usually, the festivities and vigour with which, we all come together in Mumbai from all walks of life and celebrate it together is irreplicable elsewhere in the world. However, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the circumstances in Mumbai around us, we have to brace ourselves together and celebrate it adjusting to the 'new normal'.
Our 66th year Ganeshotsav celebrations will begin from Saturday the 22nd of August 2020 to conclude on Wednesday the 26th of August 2020, at Shree Sukrateendra Nagar, A. Rama Nayak Hall Grounds, R A Kidwai Marg, Kings Circle, Mumbai 400019. We are indebted to our Revered H.H. Shrimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji and the present Mathadapathi H.H. Shrimad Samyamindra Tirtha Swamiji , with whose blessings, inspiration & guidance we have been able to perform this luminous festival with devotion for Lord's grace. Prayers are also offered at the Ubhaya Vrindavans at Walkeshwar Sri Kashi Math.
As per the directives of the Government of Maharashtra and the permissions granted to us by the Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra, we will celebrate this Festival in a muted and a simple religious manner.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, we have carried out 'Anna-Dana' activity by preparing food for the needy and affected people for 3 months. We are proud to have facilitated on an average 14,000 food packets per day (Total of over 12 lacs Food packets).We have also made substantial donations to the PM Care Fund , CM Relief Fund and provided financial assistance to needy families and our devotees during the pandemic. Under the COVID-19 Aarthik Sahakar scheme, almost thousands of families benefitted with a disbursal of over 55 lacs during the lockdown period. We will continue in our endeavor to work for every strata of our society during these trying times.
This year we would be providing a live relay of all the 5 days of celebrations. The Pooja / Seva prasad will be delivered to your residence through Courier. Due to restrictions, poojas like Anna Dana Seva ,Tulabhar Seva etc. will not be accepted and performed this year. Online Bookings for your Seva / Pooja can be done on www.gsbsevamandal.org and a Pooja Booking App will also be made available to you soon. Pooja / Sevas will be booked Online or on APP only. There will be no physical receipt books.
Lastly, we are very much sure that our Mahaganpati will hear our prayers to relive us from the stress and misery of COVI D-19 pandemic & restart our lives with greater safety, health & prosperity.
